Our approach

Most coastal houses were built for a climate that barely needed heat — and never planned for cooling. We fit both in, without spoiling the house.

01 Homes

Cottages, bay houses and hillside homes.

Older cottages with a single wall furnace, remodelled homes adding cooling for the first time, and newer houses with ducted systems — each gets a plan that suits how it was built.

  • Ductless heat pumps for houses without ducts
  • Ducted systems where there is attic or crawlspace
  • Repair and maintenance, with outdoor units protected from salt air

02 Businesses

Boutiques, restaurants and offices by the water.

Shops and restaurants along Coast Highway and the harbour, offices in converted cottages, and studios that need to stay comfortable without noisy equipment in view.

  • Ductless and ceiling-cassette systems
  • Rooftop and split-system service
  • Work planned around opening hours

03 Wall furnaces

Still heating with a wall furnace?

Many older coastal cottages still have one gas wall furnace in a hallway. It warms the rooms nearest to it and leaves the rest cold, and it can't cool at all. Our guide compares the ways to replace it.

How we work.

Plan first

We walk the house, measure, and give you a written plan and price before anything is ordered.

Out of sight

Equipment placed where it is quiet and unobtrusive, and line sets run neatly — not across the facade.

Built for the coast

Outdoor units sited and protected against salt air, and checked on a schedule.

Elevate Hue & HVAC Studio does heating, ventilation and air conditioning only — "Hue" and "Studio" are part of the name.

Questions

Before you call.

Or just call — (949) 744-6791.

Can you add air conditioning to a house with no ducts?

Yes. Ductless heat pumps need no ducts: slim indoor heads connect to one outdoor unit through small refrigerant lines. They heat as well as cool.

We have an old wall furnace. What should replace it?

It depends on the house. A ductless heat pump suits most cottages; a ducted system suits houses with attic or crawlspace room; a new wall furnace is an option if you only want heat. Our wall furnace guide compares them.

Does salt air damage outdoor units?

It speeds up corrosion on coils and fittings near the water. Siting the unit out of direct spray, rinsing the coil with fresh water and a yearly check all help.

Do you work with businesses?

Yes. Boutiques, restaurants, galleries and offices along the coast, with work planned around opening hours.

Is Elevate a design or paint studio?

No. Hue and Studio are part of the name. Elevate does heating, ventilation and air conditioning only.

Which areas do you cover?
